Fifty Thousand Thoughts a Day

Angel in the blue distance.

A luscious bloom of warmth

Envelopes my whole being.

The heated rush of feeling

Leaves me breathless and amazed…

And in the far blue distance

Are those truly angels I hear singing?

What is this place and tell me

How it is I’ve strayed

Into this strange new landscape

That inhabits me. That leaves me

Weak yet oddly unafraid.

Then suddenly there comes a hush,

As if the whole wide world

Has ceased to breathe.

And just as suddenly it begins again,

Leaving me to ponder, and to

Wonder which of the puzzle pieces

I have just received.

I'm either a transplanted East Coaster or a born again West Coaster. My heart kept pulling me toward Oregon, and when I followed it I found my dream, which I am living daily. My dream of becoming a writer has come true as well. I am in the company of people who speak my language, and the sense of community is healing hurts I didn't know were there. I am very grateful for my enormous good fortune.

  1. Gorgeous, beautiful, amazing. I could go on but how about one BIG word that describes Pacific Melody… True poet, artist, writer. Yeah more than one word but it works for me.

    • Sandman, I’m honored that you liked it so much. It simply wrote itself. I felt like a conduit, but it felt good. The Universe can use me like that as often as it likes!

  2. One more word. She’s got Soul, OK I have trouble with one word stuff. But it’s all true. Especially the one word “Soul”
